Are you trying to build a Network Marketing Business but no one is buying your products or joining your business? Well chances are you are talking WAY too much or your spamming your links all over social media!
The Wrong Way To Prospect in Your Network Marketing Business
I was one of those new network marketing people. I had just signed up into my network marketing company and was so excited I wanted to tell the world. So like so many new people to network marketing I started posting my products and business opportunity all over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. When I prospected someone face-to-face I verbally vomited on them all about how great the products and business was, needless to say it got me nowhere really fast. I did not get any customers, nor did I sign anyone up to my opportunity. See there is a right way to build your network marketing business and a wrong way. I just described the wrong way.
Let me tell you first why verbally vomiting on people and posting your products and business opportunity all over social media will get you nowhere fast. #1 reason-everyone else that doesn’t know better is doing the same exact thing and people have become immune to the posts on social media. They just scroll past them; even your friends and family. OUCH! The #2 reason is if you are talking to someone that doesn’t know you from Adam and you are verbally vomiting on them about your products and business opportunity why should they take your word that your products are the greatest thing since sliced bread and they would be a fool not to want to get involved in your business because it’s the best network marketing business on the planet! See there is one thing wrong with this approach-these people don’t know you, so why should they take your word?
The Right Way to Prospect in Your Network Marketing Business
So here is what I have learned-say less to more people. I know it’s hard because we are so passionate about our companies and products but seriously if you want to grow your business you have to learn to say less to more people. And if you are one of those people who are afraid to pick up that 5000lb gorilla, i.e. the telephone or just not sure what to say Eric Worre has a great resource “The Hottest Recruiting Scripts in MLM.” Another favorite of mine for cold market recruiting is Todd Falcone’s “Little Black Book Of Scripts”
The idea here is to treat the information you have as a precious commodity. You don’t want to give it away freely because you cheapen it if you do. Don’t be that “pitch person.” People do business with people they know, like and trust.
